I was so excited when Little Justice Leaders contacted me and asked if I would like to try one of their subscription boxes. Made for students and children in grades K-5, they approach topics like environmentalism, volunteering, gender, and mental health in engaging, age appropriate ways. As a parent, I know it is so important to talk to my kiddo about these topics, so I’m always on the lookout for ways to make those conversations easier. Little Justice Leaders definitely delivers.
We chose to explore the neurodiversity box. Inside there was a book, sensory foam, crayons, information cards, colouring pages, and more. Included was a suggested order for going through the box and ideas for how to use the activities inside. There were even book suggestions to keep learning more.
There was a lot of information provided but it was always left open ended so that families could share their own thoughts and experiences as well, which I really enjoyed. Even the sensory foam came with the disclaimer that some people may love playing with it and others might not. Everything included was bright and colourful and very inviting for little hands to dig into.
I think one of the most important things about having these “big” conversations with our kids is that they don’t happen in one sitting. This box definitely had enough to keep us coming back to keep the conversation alive. With any important topic, we want to open the floor for our kids to come to us with their own questions, concerns, and comments. Little Justice Leaders has created something that does just that.
There are four different subscription levels offered: Teachers, Parents, Siblings, and Digital. The teacher box has a wider age range, grades K-8, and the sibling box has extra supplies for additional kids. I think my favourite offering is the digital subscription. Not only is it a more affordable option, but it’s also a great environmental option too!
If you’d like to give Little Justice Leaders a try they’ve very kindly offered 25% off your first box with the code TIFFANYS25. If you get one, let me know what you think!
